ESSENTIAL BIOINFORMATICS AND BIOCOMPUTING MODULE

Department of Biochemistry, Department of Biological Science and Department of Computer Science combine to conduct this module for life science students. There are about 300 students considered for this module each semester with a total of more than 600 students taking this module every year. This module is offered at the NUS premise.

Brief Description of the Module:

Introduction to biological databases and bioinformatics software. Sequence comparison algorithms and tools. Biomolecular 3D structure and modeling. Students will be introduced to bioinformatics theory, tools, and techniques
Aim
Our mission is to inculcate a mind set of self motivated learning based on lectures, practical, problem based learning and Mini-project.
